Why choose the Sel In electrolyser

Refocus and bring our full attention to the essential to progress better.

As a new generation electrolyser, the Sel In is a concentration of advanced technologies in a compact electrolysis cell with on-board electronics.

The Sel In puts aside all the frills to focus on the essential components that define the quality of an electrolyser. This approach allows it to remain as accessible as possible.

The electronics of this new generation chlorinator are integrated into the cell to facilitate installation. A cell that is nevertheless ultra-compact in order to place the device in the smallest possible space.

Like swimming pool the leading electrolysers on the market, the electrolysis plates are made of ruthenium/iridium -treated titanium with a thickness of 1mm, guaranteeing a life span of 10,000 hours. Add to this a cell that is automatically cleaned with reverse the polarity. Poolex goes further to simplify annual maintenance by providing the necessary accessories for cleaning and winterizing the chlorinator.

The Sel In offers 6 operating modes calibrated according to the temperature of the pool water, including two boost modes and a manual "cover" mode only if your cover remains in place for more than 3 days.

The range is available in 6 models from 4g/h to 30g/h to serve pools from 20 to 120 m3. In short, with the Sel In electrolyser you are at the service of all pool owners, above ground and in ground.

Ultra compact and easy install

With its control panel integrated to the cell, the Sel In requires little installation space: 20 cm at most.

All-in-one equipment also means simplified installation. This new generation chlorinator requires a single point connection to the hydraulic circuit.

5 operating modes + 1 Boost mode

The operating modes of the Sel In are more intuitively defined. You don't need to be a technician to know which mode to activate, just select the current season: Spring, Summer, Comfort.

And if you have an increase in usage or a sudden change in weather, simply press the Boost++ button to boost up water disinfection for 24 hours. Your chlorinator will automatically return to the usual treatment.

Pool-Terre included

Because every pool installation that includes an electrolyser must have a pool-terre, Poolstar has chosen to include it in the Sel In offer.

An electrolyser generates static electricity which must be evacuated to earth or it will end up in the pool water.

The pool-terre also prevents oxidation in metal and stainless steel elements that are part of the pool's hydraulic system, as well as pool equipment such as the ladder, for example.

Low salinity

In other words, your pool is disinfected with a very low salt level of 3 grams per litre. The Sel In is an equipment that is economical.

The water in your pool remains clear without the odours and harmful effects of chemicals.

We answer your questions

A salt chlorinator for swimming pools is a device that converts the salt in the pool water into natural chlorine - sodium hypochlorite. It is used to disinfect water.

This method of water treatment is often called "salt chlorination" or "electrolysis chlorination".

The pool chlorinator uses an electrolysis cell containing platinum or titanium electrodes. As the pool water passes through the cell, the electrodes dissociate the salt into sodium chloride, which is natural chlorine. The water that flows back into the pool is disinfected.

There are several advantages to using a swimming pool chlorinator, including the continuous production of chlorine, without the need to regularly fill a chlorine tank. This natural chlorine is gentler on the skin and eyes.

In the long term, it's more environmentally friendly and economical.

For optimum pool treatment of your above-ground or in-ground pool, remember to check and balance the pH of the water.

  1. Check that the cell corresponds to the chlorinator model by comparing the references (serial number) on the cell, the appliance and the internal programme. If this is not the case, the appliance should be fitted with a programme from which you can modify the cell recorded.
  2. The water flow from the filter pump is too low. In this case, the pump speed should be increased.
  3. The temperature sensor inside the cell is faulty (difference of more than 2°C between the pool water and the display). In this case, contact your supplier's after-sales service.
  4. The cell is scaled and needs cleaning.
  5. The cell plates are short-circuited because they are not fixed in their housing. In this case, contact your supplier's after-sales service.
  6. The power supply board is faulty. In this case, contact your supplier's after-sales service.
  7. The cell is faulty. In this case, contact your supplier's after-sales service.
